Who we are

AdamJDCoaching is run by Adam Doherty, trading as AdamJDCoaching, based in Derry, Northern Ireland. Adam is the controller of your personal information under UK data protection law.

You can contact Adam about anything in this notice at [email protected]. You can also simply reply to any email he has sent you.

AdamJDCoaching is registering with the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator.

Information we collect on the website

When you apply through the website, we ask for your name, email address, phone number (optional) and whether you want online or hybrid coaching. We also ask two separate permission questions, both unticked by default, one for contacting you by email about your enquiry and one for coaching tips and offers by email. The exact wording you agreed to is stored with your record, so there is a clear record of what you consented to.

This information, together with which page you came from and the emails we send you, is stored in our customer system, a customer relationship management and email platform provided by GoHighLevel. We use it for enquiries, contact details, communication permissions and routine business messages. We do not ask you to enter health information in our marketing forms. Please use the private screening and check-in routes for health information.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, using the link in any marketing email.

Payments

Payments are taken by Stripe. Adam never sees your full card number. Stripe is a separate controller for the card details you give it, and you can read Stripe's own privacy notice.

Consultation bookings

If you book a consultation call for hybrid coaching, this is handled by Calendly. You can read Calendly's own privacy notice.

The health questionnaire

After you have paid, you complete a private screening questionnaire. Your answers go to Adam himself. We do not ask for health information in our marketing forms and do not store your screening answers in our customer system. If you send health information through an enquiry channel, such as a reply to an email, Adam reviews how to handle it and does not copy it into marketing records.

Adam keeps your answers in his own coaching records, separate from our customer system, on his own equipment, which is encrypted and backed up. He uses them to check that it is safe to coach you and to build your plan.

This questionnaire asks about your health, so it counts as special category data under data protection law. We rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of UK GDPR to process it, and on your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) for the health information itself. You give these as two separate tick boxes on the questionnaire, kept apart from your marketing choice.

You can withdraw this consent at any time by messaging Adam. If you do, coaching stops, because a plan cannot be built safely without this information.

Coaching messages

Once you are coaching with Adam, your weekly check ins and your plan documents travel over WhatsApp, to Adam's business number. WhatsApp is provided by Meta, and you can read its privacy notice.

Automated emails and decisions

The website sends some emails automatically, and each one says plainly that it is automated. No automated decision is ever made about your health or your plan. Adam reads every questionnaire and approves every plan personally.

If the safety screening in your questionnaire means Adam cannot coach you, you are told plainly and refunded in full, actioned within two working days.

Software does the arithmetic on your plan, so it is consistent and quick. Adam checks every plan and every weekly change himself before it reaches you.

Who we share your information with

We only share your information with the processors named in this notice, our customer system, Stripe, Calendly, and WhatsApp. We do not sell your information, and we do not use client health information to build advertising audiences.

International transfers

Stripe, Calendly, Meta, and our customer system may process your information in the United States. Where this happens, it is protected under the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep your information

If you enquire but never become a client, we keep your record for 12 months from your last contact with us.

If you become a client, we keep your client record and your questionnaire answers for 7 years after your coaching ends, because we may need them to answer a claim.

We keep your marketing consent until you withdraw it.

You can ask us to delete your information earlier than this, and we will do so unless there is a legal reason to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to how we use it.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

This service is not for anyone under 18. Our coaching terms require you to be 18 or over, and if we learn we hold information about anyone younger, we delete it.

Cookies

The website uses only the cookies needed to run the page platform, and a cookie that tracks form submissions. No advertising pixels are installed today. If that changes, we will update this notice.
